When the power switch is in the ON position, the motion detector will trigger the camper step light to illuminate when movement is detected in the surrounding area. It will turn on for 15 seconds before shutting off if no further activity is detected. The built-in light sensor will turn on the light only at night and will not activate during daylight hours, which helps extend the life of your batteries.  In the OFF position, this RV stair light will not activate, regardless of lighting conditions or movement.
